When you come to Crossfit The Club our goals are to improve the ten general skills required for optimal physical competence. We don’t watch TV shows while we workout.. they are a distraction. We don’t have treadmills and big fancy machines...they are not functional. What you will see is a lot of sweat and chalk. Do not be intimidated. We train everyone and anyone willing, at any fitness level and any background. Our Crossfit members are our family and community.
"I took CrossFit by accident. I have suffered from the effects of Cerebral Palsy (CP) my entire life...I've heard many excuses of why people won't try CrossFit. 1. They have bad knees or backs; I have both AND ankles, hands, etc. 2. They are out of shape; I've never worked out in my life. 3. They are intimidated by others in the class; I have found that those who have the best results have become my biggest support group. One would question why I would put myself through this. When I go home and I can hold my children, wrestle, not have to stop to rest my back...[CrossFit] truly has raised the quality of life."
The CrossFit Games are the ultimate test of fitness. It's a grueling two-day competition in which the world's fittest athletes compete in a variety of workouts. What are the workouts? Each year they change, and the details of them are not announced until a couple days before the event. This means that all year long, the athletes are training for a competition whose format is almost completely a mystery.
