06/07/10 WOD

Lieutenant Andrew Richard Nuttall, 30, from the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (1 PPCLI), based in Edmonton, Alberta, serving as a member of the 1 PPCLI Battle Group was killed by an improvised explosive device that detonated during a joint foot patrol near the village of Nakhonay in Panjwaii District, about 25 km southwest of Kandahar City on December 23, 2009. He is survived by his parents, Richard and Ethel Jane Nuttall.

For time:
10 Handstand push-ups
 15 Deadlifts, 250m/175w
25 Box jumps, 30 inch box
50 Pull-ups
100 Wallball shots, 20m/14w
200 Double-unders
Run 400 meters with a 45lb plate men, 25lb plate women

  4. Sooooo I wanted to do this one, just not after a 4 day vacation. As you can tell by my less than impressive time… I struggled. The doubleunders got me again. I was so pissed, I practiced a bit in my office today and I think I’m getting the hang of the new rope now. I have to get better because I just don’t know if my ego can take another beating like last week when Kellie came home from the doubleunder/situp WOD and shouted at the top of her lungs “I beat you Rx baby!”. That day still haunts my memories. Honestly, I am so proud of her…. I just can’t let that happen again. 😉

  5. LOL! Brody that is way toooo funny! I am glad that my home is not the only competitive one! Well I did the wod today from home but I had to do 30 regular pushups instead of handstand ones and I had to do 100 push-presses with a 45pd bar instead of wall balls because I do not have one. My time was 20:10 I dont know if that is good but I am hoping so.

  6. Ha! Ya as much as it hurts and I hate to tell it, that’s a true story. Loraine, I love that you do the WOD’s from home when you can’t make it. Now that’s dedication! I always want to do a little extra practice from home but I only have a bar and plates. That’s why I’ve concocted my master plan. I’ve designed an all in one CF station. Does wall balls, pullups, ring pullups (actually anything to do with a pullup bar). Now that added to my bar and plates, I’m good to go on practicing. I just need kellie to go out on a girls night soon so I can install it in the backyard where I want it. The location is the ongoing battle in our house. So any takers ladies? She’s fun to hang out with and I’ll only need roughly 5 hours for construction time. Oh and it’s probably a good idea you don’t mention to her what I’m doing.

  7. Brody, If you need any help with that CF Station let me know. I have a full metal fab shop. I’ve been thinking of building something for myself since I’ll be moving in a few months. I’d love to collaborate if you need help. I’m in the 6am class…the wimpy guy with the poor times. 🙂

  8. So Brody, where did you get your wall ball, kettle ball, and rings? I have a pull up bar, bar, jumprope, treadmil and weights. I also could use one of the bands that take off weight when attempting to do dips and I would love to get a row machine!

  9. So Crossfit Luke AFB today was 1 min squats, take 60 less # of squats and so that many pullups for that number, then 1 min squats tale number you reached less than 60 and push ups for the next minute. 3 rounds. It seemed easy when I only had 7 pull ups after first minute. Thereafter, not so easy.

    Then Jer did some excellent kippings, no more bands or jumping pull ups for her Lindsay. 😉

  10. Today’s work out was great!!! Some of you ladies that are not increasing your weight, and you have been doing Crossfit for a while, or working out for a while, Why are you not going heavier? Some girls like myself are built thicker. Some are leaner. Lifting heavier DOES NOT MAKE YOU BIGGER!!! If you don’t believe our trainer Lindsay or the other trainers, I challenge you to research it. And as Lindsay has said “If you can do more after the work out, you didn’t go hard enough ” Come girls, let’s get stronger!!!!

    Brady….that wasn’t a nice thing to say about yourself! Geez, you are rockin it and doing better all the time!

    I loved this WOD. I actually knocked myself over doing my Wall Balls to the 10 foot line. That was hilarious. I was slower than I would have liked, but I’d like to think I’m stronger because of it! I think that’s what Crossfit is about…..take the challenge, push yourself, and get results!
