07/21/10 WOD

Bitty and Scott C. will no longer be trainers for CFTC anymore, they took the TRX challenge at the games and failed it!  I told them to not come back if they couldn’t complete it.  To their credit not too many people were passing the test either.  The TRX is a fun new toy that we need to get in the future.  Anything to cause more pain, I ‘m all for it!


Benchmark Wednesday



For Time:

100 Pull-ups

100 Push-ups

100 Sit-ups

100 Squats

*Complete all reps of each exercise before moving on to the next.

We have a new glory board goal, the 100 club.  If you can complete this workout Rx’ed you can join the 100 club.


*ATTENTION*  There will be NO classes this Saturday, the OAC will be closed for Pioneer Day.  We will also be holding the O-lifting class this Thursday at 7pm.

  1. I was 1 1/2 pushups away from winning that stupid thing!!! When there’s nothing left….there’s nothing left! At least we tried.

    The TRX challenge was 40 atomic pushups (push-up then knees to chest, always staying in plank position and moving) then 40 inverted rows without any sort of kip. It was hard. Scott and I were the only souls brave (or crazy) enough to do it! I would love to get a few sets. Talk about interesting….try a Scorpion! It’s a burpee with one leg suspended in a strap, but the only time the other leg touches the floor is when you JUMP up to clap! Hard to describe…but fun and effective! They’d be a very fun addition to Crossfit…….. IF I STILL HAVE A JOB, that is!! 😉

  2. Just read an ad slogan from CrossBoxx Athletes (Crossfit equipment manufacturer/supplier) regarding their boxes. “You know you want to jump our boxx” Nice. The double entendre will never cease in Crossfit. I love it!
