08/01/10 WOD

Here is an email I recieved from a mother of one of our Crossfit Kids:

“Over the last two months he has been doing CrossFit, and recently started 3x per week pre-season football conditioning.  Last week we found out that he was one of the coaches “top 6 picks” and he will be playing tight end, the position that he has REALLY wanted for 2 years, I guess you could say he was picked pre-draft ;).  I KNOW that the reason he was one of the top picks was CrossFit, it whipped him right into shape. I have watched him in conditioning and he is MILES ahead of many of the kids (the ones that have been sitting on their butt’s all summer playing video games and eating BigMac’s!) His push-ups are perfect, and his squats are the lowest with best form, and he is more coordinated!  CrossFit has helped him so much, he has not just learend more about fitness but nutrition as well; he no longer wants the sugary drinks and fast food, he wants to have a healthier lifestyle! Thank You, Lindsay & Sherrie!”

 

STRENGTH

Back Squat- 5 sets of 5 reps;  rest 2 min b/t sets.  Build to a heavy 5 reps.

Bench Press- 5 sets of 5 reps; rest 2 min b/t sets.  Build to a heavy 5 reps.

WOD

3 Round as many unbroken reps as possible.

Unbroken Ring Push-ups

Unbroken Pull-ups

Unbroken Hang Power Cleans- 115m/75w

*Rest 30 sec. b/t each exercise.  Your score is your total reps.

 

WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MORE TAPE, PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN IF YOU NEED IT.

  1. Great letter! I think Lindsay there are a lot of people who feel the same way or have seen comparable results in work, athletics and play. I know for one I could never thank you, the trainers and my fellow CrossFiters enough for the great fun and life enhancement this community produces.

  2. Loved this today – different than usual; especially loved the heavy bench – can we do heavy bench once per week trainers? Thanks Ox and Jer for making me look like a total wuss on the squats!

  3. Forgot to thank Bitty, Sherrie, and Mindi for helping my wife SO much today (was her first day to CrossFit!). She REALLY appreciated all your help – she is totally hooked already! Thanks again ladies!

  4. Awesome picture of Jenna, see Maurizio look at how awesome she does WITHOUT gloves. I’d say the gloves are your kryptonite, take them off and you’ll be unstoppable.
