MOBILITY WOD– 11/03/10 post

* After debating on whether or not to hold a Friday workout, I had a great idea.  Everyone go and find the nearest Turkey Trot or some kind of 5k and go for it!  I hate to run and we never really do that kind of running often, so here is  your chance. At the very least be the first to line up at your local Wal-mart on black Friday and when they open those doors run like you’ve never run before.  Time stops when all shopping items are in your cart.  See you and Saturday!

  1. Good thinking! You deserve a break.
As for the turkey trot, take a can of food to Ogden Regional on Thanksgiving morning and run your freezin butts off! Its a 5 mile run (well technically it’s only about 4) or they have a 2 miler. Starts at 9. I won’t say see you there, cause if it’s really 0 degrees, i will be in bed 🙂
However, i will be participating in the Walmart Wod!!
    Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. Love the snowman picture! Mike, I think Heather should make up a your daily WOD…part of your physical therapy 🙂 Glad things are o.k, let us know if you need anything!

  3. There’s also a 10K in Bountiful on Thanksgiving morning at 9:00 for anyone who wants to run 6 miles with me and Brook in 10 degree weather!

  4. Bummed to be missing the snow and cold…but these conch salads and kaliks (bahamas local beer) are hard work to eat and drink when you are sitting on the beach in the sun and 82 degres

  5. We are sick! This is supposed to be a weekend of great movies, shopping, football, pie eating and stretchy pants and all we can think about is when and where we are we going to run or do a WOD! I have even been hitting up my friend who works out at CF Ogden to see if Blake and I can go do a WOD with them tomorrow. LOL! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

  6. I do not know how to put this, but I would rather you all hear it from us first. Ali, Keylee, Spencer, and I went to a local gym this morning and attended (brace yourselves) – Bootcamp. Yes, you heard right – Bootcamp. Now before you all cast stones at us just know it was under good intentions and beat freezing our rears off in a Turkey Trot. Yes, we feel dirty like we cheated on a loved one (think we should talk to our bishops about this?) and I took like 5 showers trying to feel clean again. I tell you though the high-knees, speed-skater, and the Heisman stations lure you in with their beauty and looks of bringing on a good sweat, but in the end you are left wanting and all you have left are Yoga-like cool down stretches. Sorry fellow CrossFitters – we hope you can one day forgive us and Happy Thanksgiving!

  7. Autumn

Tell us about the Santa run, it sounds fun and if Lindsey doesn’t kill us it might be a nice time of day to run.

Happy Turkey Day, I for one am planning on eating it all AND having a glass of white wine too. Gobble Gobble — Saturdays WOD will be my penance. My shoulders have been asking for some pie and I just don’t know how to say no 🙂
