CrossFit Endurance+Paleo=Ass-kicker!

CrossFit Endurance is quickly becoming an extremely important part of training for CrossFit athletes of all levels.  It does far more than just improve your WOD times, AMRAP scores, and cardio endurance.  In fact all athletes preparing for any type of competition such as 5k’s, marathons, triathlons… can greatly benefit from it’s teachings.

Check out this post on Robb Wolf’s web site.  It is an interesting read on an athletes nutritional training method mixed with CrossFit Endurance.  The post explains all that she has accomplished while combing the two and a break down of what works for her.

Everyone, please take a moment to read Emylie’s story and let’s show our support in any way we can.

Dear Business Owner,
Almost 2 years ago, at a mere 4 weeks old, Emylie Parker, struggling to
breath, was rushed to Primary Children’s Hospital. After a long day of tests
in the emergency room, Emylie was sleeping when the alarms on her
monitor went off. Her mother quickly went to check on her, she was a
dusky, blue/gray color. Emylie’s father pushed the nurse button and her
mother opened the door to call for help, to see the nurses on their way. A
code blue was called, the room seemed to be spinning, they could hear the
sound of the cart racing down the hall and within seconds Emylie’s room
was filled with medical staff. This was the last day Emylie would live
without assistance.

Emylie was born with Spina Bifida and Arnold Chiari 2 Malformation. She has undergone many surgeries and medical
problems in her young life but is a fighter and has a strong desire to live. Emylie is growing and making progress, and we
want to help her be able to do just that. Due to Emylie’s medical condition she has limited mobility and uses a stroller or
wheelchair to get around. She requires 24 hour care by someone who is trained with a trach and ventilator.  We are raising funds to build a home for Emylie and her family. A home that allows Emylie to be as mobile and comfortable as possible and allow for her daily home care by her family and nurses. The funds will also help with medical equipment and tools for Emylie’s physical and educational needs to help her achieve her goals and her highest potential.
We are holding a 5K Run/Walk and Silent Auction Saturday October 9, 2010 in honor of Emylie.

Emylie is a miracle and helps us all see the little miracles in each of our lives. You can help us make a miracle happen for Emylie by sponsoring and/or donating to the Little Miracles 5K Run/Walk and Silent Auction.

With your sponsorship of $150 your company’s name will be featured on the back of the t-shirts the participants will be wearing in the 5K Run/Walk and your company will be listed as a sponsor of the event on the theselittlemiracles.blogspot.com web page.

With a donation for the silent auction you are asked to create a themed basket (the items do not all have to fit in the basket) valued at $75 or higher to be auctioned to the highest bidder.
