  1. It was so dirty….so fun to watch. Since I couldn’t run….picts were my best contribution to my team, and friends. You all were amazing. Everyone needs to participate next year. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I love the picts of Lindsay tackling Sherrie and Ali in the mud pit.
    Great job CFTC!

  2. Thanks Bitty! I can not give a bigger endorsement for doing Crossfit than is shown by these pictures. I know that for most of you that did it, it was a little run with some fun mud in between but I would not have dreamed of doing this a year ago or participating in the CFTC games this summer. A year ago, if we had to run more than 1 lap, I had to row instead because my whole body would ache. I could barely squat, jump, rune etc. I know I still have limitations, I still could not jump the hay stacks like everyone else, but running that mountain, squatting through tunnels, jumping over walls etc. would have only been a dream without Crossfit. This is the first race (and hopefully last) that I have ever attempted to do and I’m glad I did it.. My feet blistered, I have throbbing bunions on my sides of my feet, my knees swelled up and I back can barely bend still but this was seriously one of the toughest but yet funnest events of my life.
I really do think that Crossfitters are a great group of people who enjoy helping others succed. Both during the CFTC games this summer, and The Dirty Dash, my teams would have done much better without me but I appreciate the fact that they let me bring them down to my level. (We all know that Tony would have finished near the top in the games if he had a different team mate but he worked with what he was given and was an awesome support). I would also still be stuck somewhere on that mountain but Maurizio stayed behind with me stride for stride even though he could have easily gone ahead with the rest of my team. He even had to pull me out of a few mud pits, and help me up and down a few banks (Actually, he’s probably the one that had to work the hardest that day).
I once said to stay tune for part two of my testimonial but I’m thinking the six pack abs aren’t gonna happen due to my love/hate relationship with The Burger Bar, so this will have to do. But, I do know that if people do regulary attend Crossfit and push themselves according to their fitness level, their lives will be better. Being able to move freely every day is a blessing that I don’t take for granted any more. Thanks again Lindsay and your awesome trainers for all that you do for us every day.
One other benefit-a year ago, if I had tried to do this race, they would have had to carry me away on a stretcher, but this year, because I have lost weight due to Crossfit, Sherrie was able to fireman carry me back to the car when it was over.

  3. Scot you are a true inspiration to all of us! I felt so honored to be on your team! You are one of those people that bring joy to everyone around them. I LOVE crossfit and the #1 reason is all the great people! People like you!

  4. I have to say the Dirty Dash was a great fun run that was hard to do for me. I agree with Scot in regards to what Crossfit has done and can do for a person. I never thought I would run 6.5 miles but last week I ran 6.5 miles on Sunday with Candie and Joni and did another 6 on Saturday at the Dirty Dash. Oh and lets not forget the supposed “800” meter runs on Monday. I hate to run, with a passion. But slowly I am learning to do it and I know that would not be possible without Crossfit and my dear friends who push me constantly. Scot you did awesome on Saturday from what I saw. Way to go! And way to go all the other Dirty Dashers it was fun. I hope next year we have many many more of us who will compete. It was soo much fun and just one more thing to add to my memories of the great times we have as a CF family! Oh and PS, none of these photos would be here without Bitty who sat there all day and photographed us DYING to be out there running!

  5. Thank you Celeste. It was definitely hard to have to watch and not play…but I was glad to be able to be a part of it somehow. I would rather have ran with my team!! ๐Ÿ™‚ Next year.

Scot you never cease to amaze me, as if being the most WITTY person on the planet isn’t enough….you are an inspiration to us all. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, and how you feel about your progress. I know it helps me, to hear it, and I know I’m not alone in that. What we do everyday is challenging….no doubt about it. More challenging for some than others, but we all gain so much, physically and mentally. I’m so happy to be a part of it with you guys. We have a great team of trainers, and an excellent CF family. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Scott, it was great fun having you on our team. I can’t say enough how much I enjoy tour wit and positive attitude. It is an inspiration.

The Dirty Dash was just plain simple in your face fun! (literally) Sick, nasty, bacteria infested Fun!

Thanks to my awesome team for a great time-> Scott, Maurizio, Ali and Sherrie! It was great to get to know each of you a little and have such great laughs.. Sherrie sorry about all the “naughty” things I may or may not have said….. I promise I’ll do better next year (not a lot better but maybe some) ๐Ÿ˜‰
